Radford College - Food and Winter Clothing Drive
The stories we tell about our clients each week often involve some dark themes such as domestic violence, homelessness, or the loss of loved ones, however this week’s PEW Sheet has a different tone. Last week we attended Radford college to pick up donations that the junior and middle schools had collected across the term.
We were simply blown away by the generosity of the Radford community and were unable to collect the donations in one trip, despite our best efforts. A few days later we returned to pick up another full van load of donations.
As we approach winter, the reliance on our service by vulnerable and disadvantaged members of the community grows, and the incredible support we have received from the Radford community is both timely, and heartwarming.
Many of our clients who have sought reprieve from the harsh Canberra winter have left our Centre with warm clothes and bags full of grocery items and are so grateful for your support. Thank you!
Kind regards,
Robbie Speldewinde,
Operations manager
